Thursday, January 7, 2021 (SIGNIS). Inoussa Ousseini, President of the International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT), and former Minister and Ambassador of Niger to UNESCO, passed away this Tuesday, January 5 in Paris, at the age of 72.
SIGNIS, as a long-standing member of the ICFT, would like to pay tribute to Mr Ousseini for being a representative of the creative richness of the African continent, where cinema, television and new media are authentic vectors of education for all.
Mr Ousseini was a true defender of African identities in the world of cinema and screens in every forum in which he participated.
We extend our sympathy to the family of Mr Ousseini and offer our prayers for the eternal rest of his soul.
