Copenhagen will host the 21st European Festival of Religious TV and Online Programmes from 23 to 25 September 2026, bringing together filmmakers, producers, editors, and media professionals from across Europe who work with spiritual, ethical, and religious content.
With a long-standing tradition and previous editions held in Hilversum (2014), Paris (2017), and Berlin (2023), the festival has become a key meeting point for creators from public and private broadcasters as well as online platforms. In addition to industry participants, the screenings will also be open to interested audiences, fostering dialogue between media professionals and the wider public.
The festival is organised by SIGNIS Europe and WACC Europe, in cooperation with the Diocese of Copenhagen, and supported by partners including the Danish Film Institute (DFI), the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It will offer a unique space to showcase programmes, exchange ideas, and reflect on the role of faith, values, and ethics in contemporary media.
Even those not directly involved in television are encouraged to share this invitation within their networks, especially with producers and programme makers who may wish to participate or submit work.
