The Prix Croire au Cinéma is headed for its fourth edition

For the 4th consecutive year, the Prix Croire au Cinéma will reward a film for the human and spiritual values it illustrates.

Created by SIGNIS Cinema, the Prix Croire au Cinéma aims to celebrate cinematographic creation as a means of opening up to the world and reflecting the concerns of our contemporaries.

Each year, the prize is awarded to a feature film released in French cinemas, for its artistic qualities and the values it highlights, such as peace, justice, forgiveness, solidarity with the most vulnerable, respect for human dignity and environmental protection.

Nominated films

The selection committee* drew up a list of eight feature films (fiction, animation, or documentary) meeting these criteria and released in French cinemas between December 1, 2022, and November 30, 2023. They were chosen for their convincing and original creations.

The eight films nominated for the Prix 2024 are :

LA MONTAGNE, by Thomas Salvador – FERMER LES YEUX, by Victor Erice – LE RAVISSEMENT, by Iris Kaltenbäck – INTERDIT AUX CHIENS ET AUX ITALIENS, by Alain Ughetto – THE QUIET GIRL, by Colm Bairéad – LE CHANT DES VIVANTS, by Cécile Allegra – JE VERRAI TOUJOURS VOS VISAGES, by Jeanne Herry – GOODBYE JULIA, by Mohamed Kordofani

The 2024 winner

A jury of film and media professionals will meet at the end of January in Paris, at the restaurant La Démocratie, in the former premises of Le Sillon.

The winning film 2024 will be announced on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, and the award ceremony will take place in Paris at Les 7 Parnassiens cinema in March, in the presence of the film team.
