SIGNIS Ecuador Celebrates 18th Anniversary

(SIGNIS Ecuador). Catholic communicators from all over the country exchanged a series of messages to mark the 18th anniversary of the founding of the Catholic national association on May 23, 2003.

In a note posted on their website, the Board of SIGNIS Ecuador thanked “all the people of goodwill who, from their different areas of communication in our country, have contributed to the transformation of our communities and the strengthening of our association.” “May this coming of age be a good opportunity to renew our commitment to the service of a communication of solidarity that fosters an authentic culture of encounter and promotes a more dignified life for all”, adds the note.

Several members of SIGNIS Ecuador, as well as friends and fraternal organisations, expressed their happiness and encouragement for SIGNIS Ecuador to continue in its mission of promoting a communication that contributes to building a more just, humane and supportive world. “I am happy with the road SIGNIS Ecuador has travelled and it is a pleasure to have contributed with many partners in these 18 years of communication”, said Marcelo Mejia, one of the founders and the first president of SIGNIS Ecuador.
